Paragon Vest Sdn Bhd(“Paragon Vest”) takes the privacy and protection of your personal data seriously. We are committed to safeguarding your Personal Data at all times. Paragon Vest ensures that your Personal Data is collected, processed, retained, and disclosed only for lawful purposes, and in a fair, transparent, and justified manner. 

This Personal Data Protection Notice is issued in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Paragon Vest may collect your Personal Data when you register for, participate in, or interact with the Event. This may include your name, identity card or passport number, address, contact number, email address, age, gender, emergency contact details, and other relevant information provided through registration forms, surveys, correspondence, or any communication with us (whether electronic or physical).

Your Personal Data may be collected before, during, or after the Event through various channels, including online registration platforms, official forms, emails, or customer service interactions. 

We do not purchase or obtain Personal Data from any illegal or unauthorized databases.

Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your Personal Data may be collected and processed for the following purposes:

• To process and administer your event registration, participation, and payment transactions.
• To communicate with you regarding event updates, logistics, and related announcements.
• To organize, manage, and administer event operations, including race timing, bib assignments, safety management, results management, and event-related statistics.
• To publish official event results, which may include name, age, gender, category, and finishing time
• To maintain participant databases and improve our services through internal business analysis, reporting, statistical evaluation, and research.
• To send marketing, promotional, and sponsorship-related communications concerning the Event, future Paragon Vest events, event partners, and sponsors, where applicable
• To facilitate sponsor management, event partnerships, and promotional activities related to the Event.
• For any other purposes reasonably related to the administration, operation, promotion, and improvement of the Event and related services.

All Personal Data will be treated as confidential and used only for legitimate purposes in connection with the Event and Paragon Vest’s operations, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA 2010).

Failure to Provide Personal Data

Providing your Personal Data is necessary for event registration and participation. If you do not provide the required information, we may be unable to process your registration, issue your race materials, or allow participation in the Event. 

Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose your Personal Data to the following parties where necessary for the purposes stated below: 

• Related, affiliated, or subsidiary companies of Paragon Vest
• Event service providers, contractors, timing vendors, logistics partners, and data processors
• Event sponsors, partners, and authorized marketing affiliates connected to the Event

We do not disclose your Personal Data to unauthorized third parties without your consent, except where required by law. This includes compliance with legal obligations, court orders, or requests from government or enforcement agencies. 

Right of Access and Correction

You have the right to access, update, correct, or request limitation of your Personal Data held by Paragon Vest, subject to applicable legal provisions.

Deletion of Personal Data

You may request deletion of your Personal Data by contacting us via the official email provided above. Such requests will be processed in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and operational retention requirements

Storage and Retention of Personal Data

Your Personal Data may be stored in systems operated by Paragon Vest or its authorized service providers, which may be located within or outside Malaysia. 

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated in this Policy or as required by law. Once no longer required, your Personal Data will be securely deleted or anonymised. 

Security of Personal Data 

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

Amendments to this Privacy Policy

Paragon Vest reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be posted on the official Event website. Continued use of our services or participation in the Event constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
